Program Overview
Program Purpose:
Zero To Techie (ZTT) is a paid educational program offered by CIL Academy. This program uniquely blends structured academic learning with practical, hands-on experience, aiming to prepare participants for thriving careers in the rapidly evolving technology sector. It is meticulously designed to impart foundational skills across a range of technology domains, catering to the diverse needs of the industry.
Qualification Criteria:
Throughout the ZTT program, participants will engage in intensive, domain-specific training. Upon completion, all participants will receive Certificates of Completion, acknowledging their dedication and learning achievements. Furthermore, outstanding performers, as evaluated by our expert faculty, based on predefined merit criteria, may be granted the opportunity to engage in additional real-world projects, offering a deeper immersion into practical technological applications.
Certification:
All ZTT programs include specific industry-recognized foundational certifications. The list of mandatory certifications for each program/domain is outlined in the Appendix Section: Appendix 1. Where there is a difference in expectation, learners will be specifically informed of such prior to resuming the program, otherwise, the certifications listed in the appendix section is effectively the requirement to satisfy this clause.
Note that it is a mandatory requirement of the CIL Academy Faculty that no learner is qualified for graduation without passing the required foundational certification. Learners who do not meet this requirement will not be issued a certificate of completion and will not graduate from the program. CIL Academy will not be liable for the inability of participants to meet the required criteria for Certification.
CIL Academy is not responsible for the cost of the certifications. Learners are expected to cover this cost with the providers of specific industry certifications. Although incentives such as vouchers may be offered where possible, the Academy is not under any obligation to do so and any provisions made do necessarily constitute a financial agreement between the learners and the Academy. Vouchers and other incentives will be offered on the terms that the learners acquiring them are able to leverage them without excessive dependence on the Academy in doing so. They will also be offered while stocks are available and at the discretion of the faculty.
Where scholarships are given to learners for any program, they do not cover the cost of foundational certifications unless otherwise specified in writing. Learners on scholarship must arrange to pay for the requisite certifications for their program. Learners on scholarship can also access vouchers and incentives where available.
Admission:
Enrollment in the ZTT program is a personal, non-transferable commitment. Admission is specific to the cohort for which the participant has enrolled and cannot be deferred or transferred to another individual or cohort.
Scholarships:
The Academy may offer scholarships for some of its programmes from time to time. Learners should familiarise themselves with the conditions of the scholarship, which will be published separately. Note that the conditions of any given scholarship cannot override these terms of engagement. Where there is a difference between both, the contents within this terms of engagement supersedes. All learners, whether directly enrolled via a paid program or via scholarship, must agree to these terms and abide by them.
Training Schedule:
Participants will be provided with a detailed schedule outlining the dates, times, and venues (physical or virtual) for all training sessions within each module of the program. The ZTT Program comprises two schedules:
A schedule of courses to complete on the Academy’s LMS
A schedule of Instructor Led Sessions (ILS)
The schedule of courses to complete on the LMS precedes the latter. The learners should commence their learning immediately when it is published, in a self-paced style such that they are ahead of the ILS schedule which is then published within a week thereafter. For the ZTT program, the Academy commits to deliver at least three instructor-led sessions during each module as follows:
A kick-off session to introduce the module and provide guidance on how to complete the module.
A Recap and Q&A session towards the end of the module to clarify concepts learned as well as answer questions learners may have.
A Wrap-up session to close out the module. Additional questions from learners will be answered during this session also.
In addition to the three sessions described above, the CIL Academy Faculty at its discretion may make provisions for additional instructor-led sessions. Where these are made available, learners should make adequate arrangements to attend them. The schedule will be published well in advance to enable learners to prepare accordingly.
Program Duration and Structure:
The ZTT program is structured into distinct modules, each encompassing a series of self-paced courses accessible through our Learning Management System (LMS) and a set of instructor-led sessions. Participants are expected to diligently follow the learning plans for each module, which include completing a predetermined number of courses within the timelines specified by our faculty.
Hands-On Projects:
The Zero to Techie program includes practical, real-world projects. These projects enable participants to apply the concepts and tools learned in an impactful manner. While engaging in these projects, participants are encouraged to share their learning experiences publicly as students of the CIL Academy (via blogs, social media, etc.). However, it is crucial to note that such representations should not imply employment or official representation of CIL Academy or Cecure Intelligence Limited (CIL). Any misrepresentation in this regard can lead to the termination of the participant’s involvement in our programs.
